The non-pirated Treknology torrent prerelease

A month or so ago, an unproofed, advance reading copy of Treknology sent to bloggers, journalists and reviewers turned up as a download on a few torrent sites.
I’m not going to say much about that, but I am going to do one better — I’m releasing a special ebook edition of Treknology, two months before the paperback comes out, as my own torrent under a Creative Commons license. If you’re so inclined, you can get it and seed it for others. Unlike the pirated ARC, this copy is 99.99999% revised and edited (the paperback is undergoing one last round of proofing before heading to print this week) and since it’s an ePub, will work great in your ereader. If you like, you can read the introduction without downloading anything.
For those of you who want to wait and buy the official ebook in April, you’ll get a couple of appendixes and maybe even a bonus chapter that doesn’t appear in this prerelease version (the paperback edition won’t even have the bonus chapter).
When it comes to copyright, I believe very strongly in artist’s choice and control, so this is the choice I’m making. If you end up reading this edition of Treknology and like it, you’d do me a great favor leaving a review at some place like Goodreads or sharing it with your friends on Twitter and Facebook.
